Explore the hidden gems of the southern Cape on our 4 day Cape Quickie Tag Along Tour! We’ll show you spots the locals don’t even know about! This is the ultimate weekend getaway!

Or perhaps you want to tackle these iconic tracks with a professional local guide after your own Cape York Adventure!

About

Leave the black top behind as we make tracks for the infamous CREB Track (pending seasonal openings)! Tackle the tricky undulating terrain as we explore the dense Daintree rainforest. (weather permitting, alterations may be made to drive the Bloomfield track instead). Arriving in Wujal Wujal (Bloomfield) we experience the impressive Wujal Wujal Falls (Bloomfield Falls) before overnighting at the famous Lions Den Hotel!

Departing Lions Den we continue north to Cooktown, exploring a few hidden gems along the way - including a secret waterfall! We tour Cooktown for the morning, exploring WW2 and Captain Cook history. We overlook the Coral Sea, Endeavour River and Cooktown from Grassy Hill Lookout before we depart town in pursuit of Battle Camp Road.

Calling past Isabella Falls for a swim, we venture west along Battle Camp Road before reaching the relics of Old Laura. Turing south we begin our journey to camp, passing by Laura and Split Rock Art Gallery along the way. Arriving at Jowalbinna and the Little Laura River we setup camp at the remote bush setting.

After locking the hubs and airing down the tyres we traverse the rocky roads of Old Coach Road. Technical low range 4x4ing is the Flavour of these parts! We continue on to explore Maytown ruins and its rich mining past. After cursing along the Mount Mulgrave and Burke Development Roads we arrive for our overnight in Chillagoe.  We enjoy a secluded bush camp along the banks of a local creek.

Our final day will see us explore the natural wonders that are the Chillagoe Caves! We take a guided tour inside some of these magnificent structures. Finally we checkout the rich mining history of the town before concluding our Cape Quickie Tag Along tour with a late lunch at a local Pub!
