Finke Fever

Have you ever wanted to tackle the red sands of the Simpson Desert and experience Australia’s most iconic desert race - The Tatt’s Finke Desert Race? Then read on! This one’s for you.

About

Departing Boulia and concluding in Birdsville, our Finke Fever Tag Along Tour will see us traverse the Simpson Desert's most iconic tracks - the Hay River Run, French line, QAA and Madigan line.

Immerse yourself in remote desert driving as we follow the ancient Hay River system to Poeppel's Corner.

Turning west we tackle the dune country of the French line before arriving at an outback oasis - Dalhousie Hot springs.

Refreshed and revitalised, we overnight at Mt Dare Hotel. Leaving the Dune country in our wake we explore the Lamberts Geographical Centre of Australia and Finke Community before rolling into the idyllic outback town of Alice Springs. It’s here we’ll be immersed in the death defying action of the Finke Desert Race.

There will be plenty of time to enjoy the festivities of Alice Springs during its biggest weekend of the year.

Experience Finke Fever and get up close and personal with the race machines during event Scrutineering and Prologue. Camp track side and get the inside scoop on the race track action from your own off road racing Guru - Nick.

Once event proceedings have concluded we’ll follow the track of explorers from yesteryear. Tackling the Madigan and QAA lines as we make our eastward journey back to Birdsville.
